Women's Retreat
The women of Messiah have an annual Retreat in September or October. Sometime in the fall we go away, most recently to Casa de Maria, for a rich time apart in beautiful surroundings, our days loosely structured with activities around a theme, punctuated by worship – and allowing time for reading, hiking, fellowship, and meditation. This past year our theme was “The Lives We Carry with Us,” as we explored the influences of those who have helped shape us into the women we have become.
The Messiah women are a diverse group who recognize the profound value in the giving-and-receiving of fellowship with other women. As women, we have a commitment to finding ways to express and deepen our faith experience both in action and in quiet.
